Sitting on a rock, I feel the solidity of the stone, and marvel at how old this rock could be, I wonder how did it get there, it makes me sit taller, as I allow the strength of the rock to hold me, feeling the strength moving through my body, I touch the stone in gratitude and see it sparkle.
Looking out to the vast blue sea, the horizon beyond it, the islands to the side of me, their shape, how personal to them, the buildings on the islands, their roads created by man and animals, the Sun in the Sky the blue sky, not so many clouds today. The warmth and the gentle breeze touching my face, warming my soul, this is what I feel as I sit on the rock. I close my eyes and hear the sounds of the Ocean, the birds in the sky, distant children playing on the sandy beach below and my friend who is taking the photo behind, the rustling of the vegetation near to where I sit and I feel the sounds move through my Soul bringing deep peace as the outer environment touches my inner environment. This moment reminds me that we spend far too much time trying to project ourselves in some way, it would be tempting to make a ‘reel’ (think that is what they are called) for Facebook or X or Tic Toc to see how many likes I could get, but I’m here to let you know that all you need is to see, and listen and feel to find and like yourself, it only takes one or two moments to restore your inherent inner peace. So I say stop scrolling on the “scroll holes” of Social Media and start to really look around you, feel your environment and I know that it’s not always beautiful, but that is just the road we are all on, it cannot be perfect all the time and what is perfect anyway? So I offer for you to just take a moment, it could be looking out of your window, taking a walk, or sitting on a rock, being creative, to see, feel, listen, to touch your outer environment, in order to feel your inner self, now turn off all those notifications that don’t serve you on your mobile, stop trying to live through social media and live your OWN life. May it be So x
